Sunset over the cliffs of Bonifacio in Corsica
We approach the Hotel du Roy d'Aragon and we were lucky at first. For 58 euros we settled in a double with an interior bathroom rather simple but enough for one night. The hotel is at the beginning of the walk that opens next to the pier. Through it you will find souvenir shops, supermarkets, restaurants and bars until you reach the small ferry terminal that starts in the direction of Santa Teresa de Gallura in Sardinia.
Bonifacio is located south of the island of Corsica and its cliffs offer a beautiful postcard especially at sunset. Bonifacio's story is long-lived and palpable in its stones. Homer already talked about her in The odyssey and there are pre-Neolithic remains such as Bonifacio's wife attest to the human existence in the place before 6,000 B.C.
